The town of Ciminna is only an hours drive from
Palermo airport and has much to offer the discerning traveller
who likes to try something different. It is within easy
reach of the coastal resorts of Trabia, Cefalu, Agrigento and
Trapani.
Eat out at any of the numerous restaurants,
pizzerias and cafes in the town, or sit and relax outside one of
the local bars and enjoy Sicilian life first hand. You will find
that the town is busy in the morning until about noon when, in
summer it gets too hot to rush around shopping or working so,
most locals start making their way home to have lunch.
The Sicilians like to take their time over
eating and enjoy the quality of local produce at every meal.
Lunch will usually consist of some anti pasti (local cured
meats, cheese and olives) followed by pasta with a light sauce
washed down with a glass or two of local wine.
If you feel like a drink during the afternoon,
you will find most local bars open all day until the last
customer leaves, Do try the local espresso coffee it's really
very good! |
